Kori + Dave came to us needing help with the design of their wedding at Glasserie in Brooklyn. Glasserie has a beautiful restaurant and courtyard in the front of their space, but there is a long and very dark hallway leading into the back area that needed a little TLC. Talk about a raw, but amazing, opportunity for a wedding reception. With the 200 person guest list, we used the entire galley and back room to make an amazing lush and green wedding for them. We lined the hallway with lanterns, hurricane vases, and votives to warm up the areas we could while the guests passed through.
October in New York is always a roll of the dice when it comes to the weather. We just so happened to get the coldest day of October on this particular Saturday! We had to keep the back door looking out to the skyline closed, but luckily we worked on creating a garden feel inside the room. We chose to use both high and low florals to bring the ceiling down a bit and make the space feel as intimate as possible. The mixture of rectangular and circular tables also helped to create more of a dinner party vibe for this over 200 person wedding!
